Why I Love the USA - Alex - Big Dreams and Going Beyond What’s Possible
Share

Alex is my middle daughter. She’s very graceful in all her movements, whether she’s dancing, exercising, or just walking around. She’s creative, draws charming birthday cards, loves cooking and good food, and loves working with children. It’s beautiful to see how her eyes light up when she talks about the children she helps take care of as a volunteer at church during Sunday morning services.
She’s the most strong-willed and determined person I know, which is both bad and good. It’s bad because she sometimes comes across as bossy or challenging to work with. It’s good because, when she sets her mind to it, nothing can stop her from getting things done. A recent example is when she got a flat tire: instead of waiting for help, she looked up a YouTube video and changed the tire herself.
I heard great business leaders say that, when they need a partner, they look for people who could get them out of a third-world country jail, because if someone is resourceful enough to get them out of there, then they are resourceful enough to figure out anything else in life. Alex is the kind of person who could get someone out of a third-world country jail. She’s strong-willed, stubbornly determined, and resourceful enough to do whatever she sets her mind to.
When I asked her why she loves the USA, this is what she had to say.
“I love the USA because of how big everyone dreams. This is the land of opportunity and of making things happen, and I feel blessed knowing I was born in a place that encourages me to go above and beyond what was previously thought to be possible.”
Thank you, beautiful baby, for sharing, and thank you, all, for reading. I wish you a wonderful day in our beautiful USA. ❤️
